Some People says that Maa Khambeswari is Devi Peetha. Some other People Believe That Khambi was a Girl, Who was a part of Devi Parvati Born Near the village and worshiped as Maa Khambeswari. Whatever the Stories said Maa Khambeswari is a Famous Temple Not in Aska but also in Ganjam District.

Every Tuesday of Chaitra Month (March&April) is considered to be sacred for the worship of the goddess. As like Chaitra Parba in TaraTarini Temple , Maa khambeswari Also have the same kind of festival. Heavy rush of Devotees Has Seen for Darshans during this Festival.

Every Year in the month Bhaishaka Month(April &May) Khabeswari Jatra occurred. As like Berhampur thakurani Jatra  Khambesawri Jatra has own craze.
